Um adolescente sonha em seguir os passos de seu pai e se tornar ídolo no Caxiense Futebol Clube, time de futebol modesto, porém gigante em sua cidade. Ao acordar atrasado no dia mais importante do ano, dia da "peneira" no clube, nosso protagonista se emaranha em situações desastradas enquanto tenta chegar a tempo no teste de seleção do Glorioso da Baixada, fugindo de um persistente policial militar que faz de tudo para que seus planos não sejam concretizados.
