Francisca e Tamiris são duas mulheres negras empregadas domésticas que trabalham para Reinaldo Plirtz, ganancioso milionário paulistano que tem como uma de suas metas acabar com o carnaval no país. Francisca está terminando a faculdade e pesquisa a história do Samba e do Carnaval paulista; já Tamiris, não concluiu seus estudos. Um encontro fará Tamiris questionar sua condição de pertencer à terceira geração de trabalhadoras domésticas na mesma família enquanto a pesquisa de Francisca estimula ainda mais seu desejo de mudar de profissão e estilo de vida. Encontros e desencontros nesta alegoria sobre um país que expõe cotidianamente suas brutais contradições.
