Peter é casado com Nancy e tem dois filhos adoráveis. Depois de uma visita de rotina, o médico informa que ele é doente terminal. Nesta perspectiva, Nancy e ele decidem aproveitar o limite de tempo que lhe resta e gastar dinheiro à rodo. Em uma viagem, o médico chama Peter para informá-lo que o diagnóstico está errado.
