"Ei, você gostaria de fugir comigo?" Kirie fica confusa com a pergunta repentina de seu amigo de infância e namorado, Shuichi Saito. Ultimamente, Shuichi não tem se sentido bem, como se estivesse com medo de alguma coisa, e Kirie está preocupada com ele. Eventualmente, um estudante da escola de Kirie pula para a morte de uma escada em espiral. Diz-se que a cidade turbulenta onde os dois vivem é possuída pelo misterioso poder do ESPIRAL.
