João é um adulto apaixonado por filmes e super-heróis que está prestes a realizar seu sonho de infância: passar as férias em Orlando e conhecer os parques da Universal. Às vésperas da viagem sua chefe lhe pede um pequeno favor: levar seu filho Cacá, um menino de dez anos que se comporta como um executivo de meia idade, no mesmo voo e entregá-lo para o pai. O que era pra ser apenas uma carona até Orlando vira uma roubada quando o pai de Cacá não aparece para buscá-lo. Agora, João terá que bancar o baby-sitter e aprender a conviver com as diferenças para salvar seu emprego e de quebra superar seu grande trauma de infância: a montanha-russa.
