Mastroianni e Schneider estão excelentes; A fotografia de Tonino Delli Colli é apropriadamente sonhadora e atmosférica; Os temas assustadores de Riz Ortolani estão maravilhosamente interpretados por Benny Goodman; Mas a capacidade habitual de Dino Risi combinar a grande comédia com os incisivos comentários sociais não está presente.
