Caymmi mudou para sempre sua história e também a da cantora Carmen Miranda, que gravou pela primeira vez uma de suas músicas, "O que é que a Baiana Tem?", e se tornou um sucesso imediato nacional e internacional. Com arquivos e imagens inéditas, o documentário aborda a trajetória do repertório musical do compositor através da interpretação de grandes artistas.
