Denise é uma policial desajeitada de 30 anos que se infiltra em uma viagem de formatura de colégio em busca de informações que a ajudem a desmantelar uma organização criminosa. Depois de ser afastada da operação pelo delegado responsável, que é seu próprio pai, Denise decide arriscar seu emprego e embarcar para Porto Seguro, Bahia, onde vai se passar por uma adolescente para conseguir informações privilegiadas. Careta e cheia de amarras sociais, ela terá a ajuda de uma aliada improvável, Babi, que tem a mesma idade dela, mas, no fundo, nunca cresceu. Ao mesmo tempo que aprofunda a investigação, Denise vive uma adolescência tardia cheia de emoções.
