Tom é um menino pobre. Mora no lixão com a família e de lá tira seu sustento. Sonha viver da música e usa objetos descartados para criar instrumentos improvisados. Até que um dia vê cair do céu, literalmente, uma guitarra. Era o começo da realização de seu sonho. Bastava ele pensar em uma canção e pôr os dedos sobre a única corda da guitarra para que a música fosse tocada à perfeição. A partir de então, o menino tem a certeza de que esse instrumento musical pode mudar a sua vida.
