A menina indígena Tainá, o urubu-rei Pepe, o macaco Catu e a ouricinha Suri são os Guardiões da Amazônia. Mas hoje está chovendo e os animais estão todos recolhidos. Inclusive eles, que estão abrigados embaixo de uma grande folha. Suri, no entanto, não está muito feliz. Ela morre de medo de chuva e conta que uma vez quase se machucou numa tempestade. Um a um, os Guardiões contam suas histórias sobre a chuva. Para Catu, a chuva é poderosíssima porque pode transformar simples macaquinhos em super-heróis! Para Tainá, a origem da chuva remete a uma antiga lenda indígena. Já Pepe, usa os argumentos científicos para convencer Suri que não tem porque ter medo da chuva.
