Pai solteiro e superprotetor de uma adolescente rebelde, o dedetizador Geraldo perde a habilidade de sentir quando uma viga de ferro lhe atravessa o crânio, num acidente de trabalho. Temendo perder o afeto pela filha, ele parte numa viagem de moto de São Paulo até o Rio Grande do Sul, com a intenção de deixar a menina aos cuidados da ex-mulher. No percurso, Geraldo vai se revelando um homem violento como consequência do acidente. A menina tenta recuperar o amor do pai, mas este acaba sendo guiado cada vez mais apenas pelo senso de responsabilidade paterno. E o pior: mesmo este fio tênue que ainda liga pai e filha corre o risco de se romper a qualquer momento.‍
