No início do século XX, José Diogo, um homem nascido e criado em Porto Alegre, decide visitar alguns parentes que vivem em uma região rural isolada no interior do Rio Grande do Sul. Chegando lá, em meio a festividades movidas a churrasco, chimarrão e vinho, ele se encanta com a beleza da jovem Sofia, mas também descobre que aquelas pessoas vivem amedrontadas pelos “causos” de um lobisomem que habita a região. Incrédulo, ele decide investigar e acaba trazendo à tona um terrível segredo que irá banhar de sangue as noites de lua cheia. Uma história de lobisomem tipicamente brasileira, baseada no folclore gaúcho, mas contada de uma forma diferenciada.
