A trama gira em torno de três amigos de infância e se passa na década de 1990. Silvestre (Lucas Penteado), um aspirante a cantor de funk, e Verbena (Luísa Perissé), que quer se tornar cantora de pagode, são surpreendidos por Alcione (Lucas Salles) que lhes oferece a oportunidade que tanto aguardavam: participar de um festival de novos talentos. No entanto, o sonho se torna um pesadelo quando descobrem que foram inscritos em um festival de country music em uma cidade que tenta parecer americana. Eles se veem impossibilitados de desistir devido às artimanhas de seu atrapalhado empresário e ameaças de um prefeito (Werner Schünneman) muito suspeito.
