Durante o chamado para uma festa de folclore brasileiro na escola do bairro, Fernando, uma criança de 8 anos, sugere ao avô, Seu Lino, de 70 anos, ir fantasiado de Curupira, com saia e tudo. A dinâmica entre avô e neto começa a ser afetada à medida em que Lino percebe Fernando como uma criança diferente. Através de sutilezas nos diálogos e silêncios, convenções sociais e a responsabilidade de ser o guardião-protetor de algo precioso, o filme evoca atravessamentos do masculino numa infância queer.
