Sem Vergonha é um documentário e um musical estrelado por Maria Alcina. A cantora representa a transgressão e a liberdade de uma forma muito genuína. Vítima da censura, ela percorre uma batalha para se manter como artista ao ser tachada como "só mais uma Carmen Miranda." Alcina se aproxima do que há de mais popular em nossa música: cantando o duplo sentido "calor na bacurinha," sendo jurada de programas de calouros e em seu sofisticado trabalho atual. O filme recria essa jornada em musical, na qual Alcina narra e encena a própria trajetória, com um rico material de arquivo e musicais que a situam como, talvez, a maior herdeira atual dos teatros de revista e das chanchadas brasileiras.
