Dois casais que sonham em ter filhos recorrem à inseminação artificial como última esperança. A ciência funciona direitinho, o teste dá positivo… mas os humanos, nem tanto. Um "pequeno mal-entendido" (nada pequeno, na verdade) faz com que a médica (Diana Bovio) troque acidentalmente as amostras de esperma. Agora, cada futura mamãe está esperando o bebê de um completo desconhecido. Essa leve mudança de planos vira de cabeça para baixo a vida de Lola e Cuauh (Ana de la Reguera e Cristo Fernández), um casal de classe média com espírito livre e progressista, e de Íñigo e Majo (Juanpa Zurita e Vico Escorcia), um casal jovem e conservador que vive em uma bolha de privilégios.
