O enredo segue as irmãs titulares, Ruo Lien, Ruo Lan e Ruo Mei cujo clã protege a famosa espada de ferro, uma poderosa arma muito procurada por seus rivais, em particular o desagradável Chu Tien Hsiang (interpretado pelo ator lendário Lo Changshan, conhecido na época por ser a primeira estrela internacional do estúdio, aparecendo nos gostos de “King Boxer” e “Lady Eremita”) que pretende usá-lo para se tornar o número um no mundo das artes marciais. Infiltrando o trio com seus esquemas astutos, ele aproveita a lâmina e define sobre eliminar seus legítimos donos, como a banda de garotas juntos para trazê-lo à justiça.
