Três anos após deixar a escola, Eric (Sam Huntington) reencontra os velhos amigos Windows (Jay Baruchel), Linus (Chris Marquette) e Hutch (Dan Fogler) em uma festa a fantasia. O trio permanece no esquema da escola, jogando videogame e se divertindo com a série Star Wars. Já Eric agora trabalha na empresa de seu pai, onde tem a possibilidade de ascender rapidamente. Quando Eric toma conhecimento da grave doença de Linus, que fará com que morra em poucos meses, o quarteto resolve fazer uma viagem inesquecível, onde pretendem realizar um sonho de adolescência: invadir o Rancho Skywalker para assistir, em primeira mão, o aguardado Star Wars: Episódio 1 - A Ameaça Fantasma, ainda inédito em circuito.
