Augusto "O Palhaço" é um famoso criminoso cearense que, após sair da prisão por um assalto a banco mal sucedido, se vê obrigado a adentrar o sombrio mercado do tráfico de órgãos. Sua missão: sequestrar uma recém-nascida e levá-la para um cativeiro isolado no interior do Estado, aguardando a chegada dos traficantes. Quando a quadrilha é desmantelada pela polícia, Augusto se vê encarregado de cuidar da criança por mais tempo do que jamais imaginou.
