Esta aventura cheia de surpresas se passa em um planeta muito distante da Terra, chamado Raphicca, habitado por estranhas criaturas e alienígenas gigantes. Por lá, vive o físico Simon Weir, que criou um portal do tempo, mas se tornou escravo de seu próprio invento, não conseguindo mais voltar ao mundo dos humanos. Mas sua vida está prestes a mudar com a chegada de seu filho Jac, um menino de quatorze anos que, inconformado com o desaparecimento do pai, finalmente descobre o portal e o atravessa para resgatá-lo. Mas deixar Raphicca para trás não será nada fácil para Simon e seu filho. Uma verdadeira batalha entre o bem e o mal está prestes a começar por lá. Estarão eles preparados para enfrentar tamanho desafio e sair de Raphicca vivos?
