Will Marsh (Samuel L. Jackson) é um soldado do exército americano que serviu como médico no Oriente Médio, durante a invasão americana ao Iraque. Após vários meses fora, ele enfim retorna para casa. Sua volta é saudada pelos amigos e familiares, mas logo Will demonstra que os fantasmas de guerra ainda o afetam.
