Ele se apresenta no programa de calouros da TV Excelsior A hora da buzina (apresentado por Chacrinha), concorre no Festival da Canção Popular Brasileira da mesma emissora (apresentado por Wilton Franco) e se apaixona pela filha do dono de uma gravadora. Mas precisa enfrentar as armadilhas de um playboy cafajeste, interessado em casar com a moça pelo dinheiro.
