Esta polêmica produção revela um lado obscuro do primeiro-ministro britânico Winston Churchill, que foi um importante articulador que colaborou para dar fim à Segunda Guerra Mundial. Mas este filme mostra um outro Churchill, um jovem ambicioso e de caráter duvidoso, um soldado que venceu a guerra jogando sujo e caçoando dos ingleses. Longe de ser biográfico, o que se vê aqui é uma leitura ficcional e debochada de uma figura importante na história do século 20. Conta com um grande elenco, com Christian Slater no papel central e ainda Neve Campbell como a princesa Elizabeth e Miranda Richardson como Eva Braun, a namorada de Hitler.
