Quando o carro da bela e jovem Evelina (Amanda Acosta) quebra na estrada, ela não faz ideia de como seus caminhos serão profundamente alterados para sempre. Socorrida pelo gentil Ernesto (Luiz Baccelli), Evelina logo fica sabendo que tanto ele como ela estão indo exatamente para o mesmo hotel. Coincidência? Talvez, mas Ernesto não acredita em coincidências. Imediatamente, eles desenvolvem uma amizade tão sólida que persistirá quando ambos passam para o outro plano. Será ali, do outro lado da vida, que Evelina e Ernesto enfrentarão enormes dificuldades e desafios, onde não faltarão surpresas e surpreendentes revelações.
