Silmara (Rosanne Mulholland) é uma bela operária que sustenta seu pai, Antero (João Bourbonnais), um ex-presidiário que foi deformado pelo fogo. Ela tenta a todo custo manter um relacionamento amigável com ele e com seu irmão caçula, Tê (Léo Aquilla), ao mesmo tempo em que mantém um relacionamento ambíguo com a professora de dança Regina (Luciana Brites). Na fábrica em que trabalha Silmara é incentivada a ajudar Briducha (Djin Sganzerla), uma mulher tímida e solitária. As duas e Regina vão ao show do grupo Bruno e os Andrés, onde Silmara conhece e se envolve com Bruno de André (Cauã Reymond), ídolo da banda. Logo Silmara se torna o sonho de suas amigas, por representar a chance de uma rápida ascensão social.
