Em um futuro distante, o cyberdoutor Daisuke Ido encontra uma cyborg (Gally) em frangalhos em uma pilha de sucata. Ele a leva até sua casa e a reconstrói, a criando como filha. Gally não lembra seu passado, mas logo descobre que possui grandes habilidades marciais e se torna uma caçadora de recompensas, acabando por conhecer Yugo, um garoto pobre que tem o impossível sonho de ir para Zalem, uma cidade satélite que flutua sobre a Cidade de Sucata. Percebendo que o sonho de Yugo só poderia acabar em tragédia, Gally tentará ajuda-lo.
