Chris, um frustrado produtor de TV, decidiu vender sua casa imaginando que, de alguma maneira, teria novamente o controle sobre sua vida e se livraria de seu excêntrico amigo Bob. Um dia Chris pede à Bob que atenda a porta para qualquer pessoa que bater, já que aguardava a visita de vários corretores de imóveis. O que Chris não contava é que quando retornasse do trabalho encontraria sua casa cheia de pessoas incomuns: dois criminosos, um palhaço, um cadáver... transformando a venda da casa em uma situação hilária que vai fazer você chorar de rir.
