Os agentes federais "Lash" LaRue e "Fuzzy" Jones são convocados para um território infestado de bandidos por um banqueiro local. Como o bandido, El Azote, é conhecido por usar uma máscara e portar um chicote, o dono do bar local, sem saber que "Lash" é um policial, o contrata para se passar pelo bandido e realizar uma série de assaltos que serão atribuídos a El Azote. "Lash" pretende devolver o dinheiro que adquiriu aos seus legítimos donos, após descobrir a identidade de El Azote, mas sua própria identidade é descoberta pela gangue antes que ele possa fazê-lo.
