As lutas de Vale-Tudo estão no auge da popularidade no país. Ao assistir uma briga em um parque, o empresário do lutador campeão, o feroz Lobo, resolve convidar um pobre mecânico para uma luta teste. Esse novato, com a ajuda de seu amigo atrapalhado, de um menino esperto e das namoradas, se torna a nova sensação e acaba por disputar o cinturão da categoria com Lobo, que não está disposto a perder o título e o dinheiro de apostas ilegais da quadrilha que ele comanda.
