Três primos que não se conhecem descobrem que herdaram Magnolia Manor, uma plantação do sul: Chiquita (Carmen Miranda) que sintoniza rádio através dos dentes!, Harry (Phil Silvers) que é um trambiqueiro e Blossom (Vivian Blaine) uma cantora de Teatro de Revista. Os três abandonam seus empregos, que não eram lá muito bons, vão para lá e descobrem que a fazenda está cheia de dívidas. Felizmente o Sargento Rocky Fulton (Michael O'Shea), de um campo do exército próximo, aparece com um plano para converter o lugar em um hotel para esposas de militares que estão no front, mas para pagar contas até então, eles decidem fazer um show. Naturalmente, complicações românticas e militares aparecem.
