Em 1922, um aspirante a compositor clássico se envolve com pessoas que estão fazendo uma revista musical. O compositor novato Kenneth Harvey chega a Nova York vindo do Kansas, na esperança de publicar seu concerto. Ele conhece o dono de clube, Danny O'Mara, que espera fazer um show na Broadway. O projeto do Ken sofre uma reviravolta para melhor quando ele se apaixona pela cantora Bonnie Watson. Mas enquanto trabalha na orquestração, O'Mara está sub-repticiamente adaptando suas músicas para o espetáculo Alegrias de Greenwich Village. ( e 12 - Estimado 12 Anos )
