Zé da Bomba, funcionário de um posto de gasolina, usa carros luxuosos que aparecem no seu trabalho para dar o golpe do baú na filha de um grã-fino. É apaixonado por uma suburbana, cuja tia, por intermédio de uma chantagem, consegue emprego de vedete numa boate da moda. O diretor artístico da casa articula um plano para desmoralizá-la. Zé e a namorada planejam então construir uma boate rústica na favela, com a finalidade de explorar o exotismo tropical da burguesia.
