Nesta agitada história americana, Thurmond Prescott (Ernest Borgnine) tem as suas terras há trinta anos e pretende mantê-las; seu capataz, Luke Rios (Casper Van Dien), foi outrora um pistoleiro; a jovem Noah Taylor (Jake Thomas), faz sua transição para a maturidade; e a bela, mas dura, professora Jo (Deirdre Quinn) não deixará nada atrapalhar os seus sonhos. Mas o mesmo pode se dizer do rico dono da ferrovia e seus capangas, Tate (Jeff Kober) e D.C. Craker (Bruce Boxleitner).
