O rei Edvard (Chris Geere) e sua esposa Paige (Kam Heskin) enfim conseguem uma brecha em suas agendas para que possam curtir a lua de mel. Só que o casal é perseguido por paparazzis, o que incomoda muito Paige. Percebendo isto, o rei decide alterar o local da viagem sem comunicar a esposa. Eles vão para Belavia, onde não são reconhecidos e passam os dias como se fossem um casal normal. O que eles não esperavam era que na Dinamarca fosse tramada uma tentativa de golpe de estado, que fará com que Edvard e Paige tenham que demonstrar ainda mais sua confiança um no outro para que possam enfrentar a situação.
