Quando Tommy Patel descobre que ele, não Henry Martin, é o verdadeiro Duque de Bournemouth, faz de tudo para recuperar o que perdeu! Felizmente, para Henry, Tommy é um assassino sem habilidades. Infelizmente, para ambos, o desleixado advogado de Tommy, Shadgrind, é um pouquinho melhor! Junte a isso uma duquesa ninfomaníaca, uma golpista, mais vários malucos, e você terá mais uma comédia para lá de engraçada e original.
