Documentário que mostra um festival musical beneficente de cinco dias que aconteceu em Chicago em 1972:, destacando as atuações de Marvin Gaye, Jerry Butler e Roberta Flack, quando esses gigantes da explosão musical se uniram em júbilo de vida! O evento foi organizado pela Operation PUSH, liderada pelo reverendo Jesse Jackson, e reuniu artistas de grandes gravadoras de música negra, como Motown, Stax e Atlantic Records. O festival foi uma celebração da cultura, artes e negócios negros, e arrecadou fundos para empreendimentos criados por afro-americanos. O documentário mostra performances de artistas como Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, Nancy Wilson, Ramsey Lewis, Curtis Mayfield, Sammy Davis Jr, The Jackson Five, Jerry Butler, Quincy Jones, The Main Ingredient, Cannonball Adderley, Gladys Knight and The Pips, The O'Jays, Roberta Flack, The Temptations e Isaac Hayes.
