Uma jovem garota chamada Alice estava cansada de ficar sentado à beirado rio, sem nada para fazer enquanto sua irmã lia um livro. De repente, um coelho branco curioso vestindo roupas e carregando um relógio de bolso aparecer, e pensando o que poderia ser mais divertido do que ficar lendo um livro, então, Alice decide seguir o coelho branco em sua toca do coelho. Alice logo se vê caindo o que parece ser um túnel subterrâneo sem fim, e quando ela chega do outro lado, ela encontra-se no país das maravilhas. Neste lugar, ela conhece todos os tipos de personagens interessantes e loucos. Ela se junta ao Chapeleiro Maluco e a Lebre de Março para uma festa de chá incomum, joga um jogo desleal de críquete com a Rainha de Copas e assiste ao julgamento de Jack, o Valete de Copas, que foi acusado de roubar tortas da Rainha, tudo em um dia de verão.
