Na região onde vive, o vaqueiro Manuel (Caio Blat) é invejado por sua mula, a valiosa Beija-fulô. Um matador (Alexandre Borges) aparece no local e demonstra interesse em comprar o animal, mas Manuel vende outra mula, bichada. Quando o matador descobre que foi enganado, ele quer matar o vaqueiro e desonrar a noiva deste, Das Dô (Maria Flor). Manuel tem que recorrer ao feiticeiro local, Toniquinho das Pedras (Julio Adrião) para se proteger.
