Após o avião em que estava ter sido abatido por terroristas, o presidente dos Estados Unidos (Samuel L. Jackson) está ferido e perdido no meio de uma zona rural finlandesa. E sua vida agora está nas mãos de Oskari (Onni Tommila), um tímido jovem de treze anos de idade que embarcou em uma viagem para provar sua maturidade a si mesmo e sua família, passando 24 horas sozinho na selva, armado apenas com um arco e flecha. Essa improvável dupla terá que se unir para sobreviver aos criminosos que seguem atrás do presidente.
