Jessica, filha de um agricultor de maçã empobrecido, ainda acredita no Papai Noel. Então, quando ela se depara com uma rena com uma perna machucada, faz todo o sentido supor que é Prancer, que havia caído em uma exibição de Natal na cidade. Ela esconde a renas em seu celeiro e a alimenta com biscoitos, até que ela possa devolvê-las ao Papai Noel. Seu pai encontra a rena e decide vendê-la ao açougueiro, não para virar costeletas, mas como uma exibição publicitária.
