Um inventário da vida e da obra de Antônio Francisco Lisboa, o artista mais expressivo do Brasil colônia. Nascido em 1738 na antiga Vila Rica, hoje cidade de Ouro Preto (MG), cedo tornou-se conhecido pelas originais concepções técnicas e artística que introduziu em seu ofício de escultor. Além das obras realizadas em Ouro Preto, trabalhou também em Tiradentes, Congonhas do Campo, Sabará, Mariana e outras cidades vizinhas, mesmo acometido por uma doença que o deformou, mas que não o impediu de continuar sua obra monumental e comovente. Baseado em texto e roteiro de Lúcio Costa.
