Eligio acorda em uma manhã e descobre que sua esposa Susana o deixou sem dizer uma palavra sobre seus motivos ou paradeiro. Ele decide embarcar em uma viagem da Cidade do México até uma universidade de Iowa, nos Estados Unidos, para lutar pela mulher que ama.
