Jorge e Haroldo são amigos inseparáveis, tanto no colégio quanto na casa na árvore que mantém juntos, onde se dedicam a escrever histórias em quadrinhos do Capitão Cueca, super-herói por eles inventado. Ambos adoram se divertir na base de pegadinhas, especialmente em relação aos professores e ao rabugento diretor Krupp. Quando são ameaçados de serem separados de turma, Jorge usa um anel hipnótico contra o diretor, que faz com que ele obedeça a todas as suas ordens. É quando a dupla tem a ideia de transformá-lo no próprio Capitão Cueca.
