No lançamento do sexto álbum do Coldplay, intitulado Ghost Stories, canais de TV como NBC ( EUA e Canadá), Sky Arts (Reino Unido) e Multishow (Brasil) exibiram o especial Coldplay: Ghost Stories. Filmado pelo diretor Paul Dugdale (Adele, Rolling Stones), o show foi realizado em um anfiteatro no Reino Unido para apenas 800 fãs, fazendo parte da série de shows intimistas que a banda vem fazendo, visto que os rapazes não tem em mente uma turnê mundial. Sendo, portanto, o show uma forma de levar aos fãs um registro dessa nova fase da banda. Além de músicas aclamadas, a banda tocou as faixas do novo álbum e contou com vinhetas cinematográficas e imersivas projeções em 360 graus.
