Todos esperavam que o voo militar Boxtop 22 de Thule para o vasto deserto congelado dos territórios do noroeste do Canadá fosse uma rotina entediante, mas em questão de minutos um acidente leva a tripulação e os passageiros do veterano da Guerra do Golfo, Capitão John Couch, a um desespero cada vez maior.
