'The Editor' é escrito e dirigido por Adam Brooks e Matthew Kennedy e é descrito com uma homenagem/paródia dos giallos italianos, mais especificamente aos filmes sangrentos de Mario Bava e de Dario Argento dentro do gênero. A história gira em torno do editor Rey Cisco (interpretado por Adam Brooks), um homem que trabalha incansavelmente e tem quatro dedos de madeira em sua mão direita. O estresse assola sua vida e as coisas desandam quando uma pilha de corpos começa a surgir no estúdio onde trabalha. Como a descrição diz, “enquanto este meta-filme constrói um clímax frenético, você é forçado a questionar tudo que você já viu.”
