Dois vigaristas, o casal Wang Bo e Wang Li, embarcam em um trem na zona rural da China. Ele quer espoliar um camponês, apelidado de Dumbo por sua ingenuidade, que carrega 60 mil yuans e confia em todos. Ela quer proteger o garoto caipira, um ato de expiação provocado por uma oração e pela visita a um templo. Também a bordo estão um ou mais grupos de ladrões, incluindo um chefe calculista e sua femme fatale. O chefe quer recrutar Wang Bo, e uma série de competições se iniciam, com potencial de se tornarem mortais.
