Um inocente inspetor de impostos chega à cidade onde deve realizar seu trabalho, mas só encontra dificuldades: a chuva apagou os registros em seu livro de contabilidade e ele ficou sem dinheiro. Ele não tem escolha a não ser passar a noite em uma casa misteriosa em uma floresta encantada. Lá ele conhece uma bela mulher, mas não sabe que ela é um fantasma que é forçada a capturar jovens para sua cruel e perversa mestra. A fantasma e o inspetor se apaixonam e, com a ajuda de um guerreiro habilidoso na arte da espada, lutarão contra o Senhor das Trevas para que a alma da mulher possa descansar em paz.
