Ninguém confiaria na filha de Lee Kassell, um guru de varejo que vende roupas "inspiradas" nos designers para quem Kate quer trabalhar. Quem quer um espião entre as lantejoulas e sapatos de salto alto? Relutante, Kate se junta ao negócio da família. Onde ela terá que conviver com sua madrasta e duas irmãs perversas. Com a ajuda de "um príncipe" do departamento de calçados, roupas vintage, uma troca chocante de identidade e muito malabarismo, Kate tem um novo interesse para salvar a empresa de seu pai e chegar à frente na moda e na vida.
