Joshua McCord (Chuck Norris) é professor especialista em assuntos asiáticos, e o agente pessoal do presidente dos Estados Unidos que assume as missões mais perigosas e delicadas. Durante o Resgate da Primeira Dama, que foi sequestrada por terroristas e é mantida prisioneira no Rio de Janeiro, Joshua quase falha. Com a ajuda da filha (Jennifer Tung), que é seu contato com o presidente, Joshua escolhe o Jovem Deke Slater (Dylan Neal), um soldado que fora preso por insubordinação. Suas habilidades são testadas quando ambos enfrentam o cartel colombiano de drogas, que juntou forças com um grupo de militares chineses liderados pelo maior inimigo de Joshua.
